Europa Group had half met physically at the Meeting Lab, and half connected to listen to Marc Doncieux's intervention on the event of this beginning of the year: the takeover of Julien Kouchner's pluri-media group, 1Health, which expands the family and brings the number of employees within the group to more than 400 and a turnover of 123 million euros. Following this announcement, we wanted to involve our employees in Marc's vision of the group's future and its external growth strategy. There were many questions, proof of the interest that employees take in the news of the group and in these moments of privileged exchanges with the management team.

Back-to-school meeting for the Europa Digital & Publishing team. Our teams specializing in digital and publishing have taken stock of a year 2022 rich in events with an ever more important place for digital in our events and operations.

In particular, the role of artificial intelligence in our daily work was discussed. Several operations took place in 2022 with the help of these new technologies such as ChatGPT or DALL·E. Illustrations for our L'Encephale Online site were created using artificial intelligence and certain articles on social networks were written using this same technology. These tests have allowed us to determine that human control remains more than ever necessary to frame these new functionalities which will not replace the human mind. The know-how of our employees remains at the center of Europa Group's excellence, but AI can allow us to speed up certain processes.

After the acquisition of Phili@ in 2017, Europa Group is strengthening its leadership in health publishing, an activity that complements its historic business of organizing medical conferences. 1Health, chaired by Julien Kouchner, brings together 21 titles in human and animal health dedicated to professionals and the general public. The new entity gives birth to a group of more than 400 employees and a consolidated turnover of 123 million euros.

The acquisition of 1Health thus consolidates and expands the strategic positioning, as well as the leadership of Europa Group in the field of the sharing of scientific knowledge, the training of professionals and the animation of health communities. Indeed, the acquisition of 1Health makes it possible to extend the activities of Europa Group to animal and environmental health and to strengthen its presence in human health while bringing to it the meaning conveyed by the concept of “one health”. “The concept of one health, whether human, animal or environmental, is the DNA of 1Health. This concept, validated by the UN, corresponds perfectly to our corporate culture. This acquisition represents an important lever for growth that perfectly meets the societal challenges that we want to address to all of our audiences. We strongly believe in this holistic approach to health, its education and its information.

The spread of the coronavirus COVID-19 continues on French territory.
Olivier Véran, Minister of Health, today published an order that aims to combat the spread of the virus.
Among them, the decision to extend until 31st May 2020 the ban on "any gathering involving more than 5,000 people simultaneously in an enclosed area".
